    Born within the Kanagawa prefecture, he is from Hakone, which is known in the Hashiriya (Street racing) world as the "holy grail of hashiriya". The racing scene engulfed him at a young age as an escape from the formalities of the world around him. His father resents his passion to race, however Shirou's rebellious aura has always persevered to the point his father is helpless in stopping him from endangering his life for the sake of speed and thrill, and to be the fastest racer down the touge (mountain road). Shirou hastily balances his schooling and street racing, commonly coming to breaking points.
